Customization Options
• Head diameter, head form and under-head ribbing
• Drive recess type and depth
• Thread form, pitch and point style for the board type
• Shank length and unthreaded section
• Material and corrosion-resistant finish
Common Design Concerns
• Thread form must suit the board type, or holding power in particleboard and MDF will vary
• Head seating and recess depth must be consistent, or the head will sit proud or sink into the panel face
• Drive recess must stay clean after coating, or the bit will slip during powered driving
• Point and thread start govern whether the screw enters straight without splitting the panel edge
Typical Applications
• Cabinet and Carcass Assembly
• Hinge and fitting attachment to panel
• Board-to-board joints in flat-pack furniture
• Assemblies driven with powered tools
